famous Czech architect, representative of the Czech functionalist architecture and design. The armchair was designed for the examination room of the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague during reconstruction in 1926 - 1929. All the furnishings for the faculty was designed by architect L. Machon. This is one of four manufactured armchairs, very early production of tubular Czech functionalist design.
