The cubist box designed by Pavel Janak is a fundamental icon of Cubist ceramics.
Box was designed for Artěl in 1911 and made in the Czechoslovakia by the company Graniton in Svijany - Podoli. The only publicly known owner of the original piece is the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.

famous Czech cubist and modernist architect, designer, town planner, professor and theoretician. Janak created many famous designs for Artel that was founded in Prague in 1908.
